Vets Healing on the Fly took off the week to celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah with families and friends. So, we had no call, but a couple of our diehards, John and Sean were on the river and they caught multiple fish.

For those that do venture out, please be careful out there. Remember Hypothermia and frostbite can happen before you know it.
Dress in layers, spend a limited time in the water, then come out to warm. Always fish in pairs. Be safe out there.

This coming week you can come meet and support us at the FVTU Anglers tag sale on Saturday, January 3rd at the senior and community center in Farmington. The event will run from 9 AM until 1 PM. This event is a huge benefit for our program and allows us to get rid of excess gear and equipment that we have in our limited small storage shed. We also use this event to raise funds for the program.

Look for some big changes in 2026. We will be meeting twice a month in person. We are adding some evening fly-tying sessions and moving a few of our outings to Saturdays. These changes will allow those that can’t normally attend because of work or other commitments to participate. We might even get a few more vets. If you know of a vet with disabilities that might benefit from our program, please send them our way.
We now have 78 followers on Facebook. Please consider following us and you will be notified when we have new posts.
If you are a vet with disabilities or know one that may be interested in our program, maybe you are interested in supporting our program as a volunteer or through donation, you can contact us or support us by using the links on this site. www.vetshealingonthefly.org

Wishing all a Happy, and Healthy New Year
Tight Lines,
