We participated had a successful time at the Farmington Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited's annual tag sale. We raised funds for the program unloading some our excess materials. It was a lot of work and busy as Hell, but we had a great time, shared a lot of laughs, met some new anglers that may be interested in joining or supporting the program, and we got rid of some unneeded gear and materials.

The crowd was straight out from the 9 AM opening until about 11:30. The event brought out 150 anglers who weren't going to be getting on the water on a 15 degree January day. They could still get together and talk fish with their buddies and fellow anglers.

Vets Healing on the Fly uses fly-fishing as a tool to help vets with disabilities cope with the challenges they face every day. When we received a donation of about 250 bass spinning lures, we were able to offer the items for sale at the tag sale and raise funds for our program.

Sean, and John, two of our vets also spent time at the sale along with Tim O and John F. All of these guys, vets and vols alike, as well as others from our group spent time at the event supporting our program. We also had the opportunity to connect with potential new vets, vols, and supporters.
If you are or know of a vet with disabilities that you think may benefit from our program, or would be interested in volunteering, or supporting our group, please use the contact links in this site to reach out to us.
Please note, there is never any cost for vets to participate in the program.

We are back open for business after taking 2 weeks off for the holidays. This week will be holding a coffee hour Zoom call, next week, Fly tying at the American legion Hall.
I'll be back next week,
Tight lines,
Don
