Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Salmon River outing because of weather. But that didn't stop us, we had a pop-up fly tying event at the American legion. 24 vets and vols attended and tied the Hendrickson Emerger under the guidance of Antoine and Captain Bob.

And the third time is a charm; we got the new camera and video system up and running. We couldn't find a 12-year-old to assist, but we had the next great thing, John L, one of our vets set it up, showed us old folks how to run it, and most importantly, saved the settings.

But wait there's more. VHF partners with the CT Flyfisherman Association who also provides our group with volunteers. 3 of our Vets assisted in stocking the Willamantic River this week in a process known as live stocking floatiung fish down the river and releasing them along the way. This makes our group of disabled vets conservationists. This is all part of the the healing journey. Thanks Doug, Tim, and Bill M.

Yeah, we've been busy, and over the next 2 weeks, we have outings scheduled the the Shepaug River as guests of the washington Rod & Gun Club, followed by a trip to Madison to next week as guests of the the Hammonasett River Fishing association to fish their private waters.
I'll be back soon with another update.
Tight lines,
Don
