Limestone, the last outing of the year, now it's on to fly tying

Limestone historically, is our last group outing of the year. That doesn't mean were done, still we have small groups of anglers on the water. 8 vets, 8 vols and 4 members of from the Limestone trout club had a great day on the water.

So there were highs and lows to this outing. First the lows...
Antointe, one of our assistant program leads was walking down the center of a flat dirt road, when he became distracted, and fell on his shoulder. We later determined it was a broken collarbone. I drove his truck, took him to UCONN and he was home in about 2 hours. Aside from the fact it will take 4 to 6 weeks to heal, he is comfortable and not in pain.

As for the highs, Bob S, left, pulled in another brown, I think for the 3rd consecutive year.
Jim B, new to our program pulled in 2 browns for the day, great huh, except he dropped his phone into the deep end of the pond, but he's still smiling.

Mike P was the big winner for the day with 3 fish to the net including this 24" bow.

Limestone Trout Club is a private club that has allowed us to visit every year. There are 5 quarry ponds stocked with trophy trout on pristene property.

Well, just because we have reached the end of our on the water outings for the year, it doesn't mean it's over. we just move insode to tie flies for next year.
See you after our next tying session on the 22nd.
Tight lines,
Don
