We were tying flies again this week, but before I go too far down that path, let me introduce you to Bruce, pictured left, a new vet participant. Welcome! Pictured on the right is Darin another one of our participants. Darin has been a participant for a few years, but real active since his retirement, this summer.

Hugh, pictured right is getting guidance on his tying technique from Brian a seasoned vol. BTW, Hugh is our number 1 vet. He started at our first session over 10 years ago, and has been with us ever since. (I've never seen him without the hat).

A small group of 25 vets and vols were on hand tying the Partridge Hackle Mop Fly, for our outing to Limestone this week. Below are two examples o the fly, one tied by a vet with 6 months experience and one, a vol with 30 years experience. They will both work.

We tie, a large variety of flies, dries, nymphs, wets, streamers, and assorted junk flies. I just checked, in the last 8 years, we have tied 84 different flies in our sessions. They are chosen based on upcoming outings and hatches. Thanks Capt. Bob who continues to challenge us.

Huge announcement here, our Vets Healing on the Fly tee shirt, can now be accessorized with the release of the new Vets Healing on the Fly Hat. Our hat is being released 9:00 AM Thursday at Limestone. And you thought there was a lot of fanfare for that new Swift album. You ain't seen nothing yet.
Donations!!!
I would be remiss, if I didn't acknowledge some our recent donations we received. We have been the recipient of gently used fly rods and reels, fly tying supplies, Fly- tying desks, and vices. Books, and a 32" flat screen TV which we hope to hook up to a camera to demo both fly tying techniques and knot tying instructions.
Thank you, Oscar, George, Roger, Antoine, Lysa
