Evening Fly Tying Session, Casting Clinic Coming Up, and Hopefully so is Spring

That's it, I've officially had it !

Calendar spring is here, March, April, May, but the snow hasn't stopped, and we are expecting more tomorrow. The optimists out there have said, don't worry, the sun is getting stronger and it will melt quickly. I just want it to stop. OK, enough of my little rant...

Captain Bob put together the instructions, kits and demonstrated the process of tying the Elk Hir Apple Caddis. This is a perfect fly for early May on our local waters.

Next the vols got to work paired with vets and the results were phenomenal.

Now in the vet pool for the night we had 2 new participants join Jim (vet) and his buddy John (as a new vol), and Edwin a vet from the the local American Legion. Considering the fact that we usually start a newbie on a Wooley Bugger, they did awesome. You'll see in the pics.

We hold a clinic to get some of the newer vets ready for our first outing in April.

See you next week,

Tight lines,
