Doc's Pond 2026 is in the books

Doc’s Pond in Litchfield Fishing and Cookout Saturday 8/22/26 is now in the books

This was one of our largest outings this year, 30 vets and vols including a few new faces (Kyle, Jason, Pat) and some we have seen for a long time (Karen, John S).

Some flies were sacrificed to the tree gods

We even paid homage to the tree and weed gods with the sacrifice of a few flies and one fly rod.

Marco, Bob S and Gary S were all in a small fleet of Float tubes.

Weather was great 65 to 70 degrees, cloudy, no wind and no rain. And checked all the boxes... Bass, Perch, Bluegills, and Sunnies.

Yes it is all about the fly fishing, but the bonds that are formed, the camaraderie that exists, and the serenity in nature were all present and played a huge part in this event and the healing process.
